The CA3140A and CA3140 are integrated circuit operational amplifiers combining high voltage PMOS and bipolar transistors in a single chip. They offer high input impedance, low input current, and fast performance. With a supply voltage range of 4V to 36V, they’re internally compensated for stable operation in unity gain follower mode. They feature an access terminal for external capacitor frequency roll-off and input offset voltage nulling. Their PMOS input stage allows for common-mode input voltage down to 0.5V below the negative supply terminal, suitable for single supply applications. The output stage includes bipolar transistors and built-in protection against load short-circuiting. Designed for up to 36V operation, they’re versatile for various high-voltage applications.

The CA3140A and CA3140 are integrated circuit operational amplifiers that harness the benefits of both high voltage PMOS and bipolar transistors within a single monolithic chip. These BiMOS operational amplifiers feature gate-protected MOSFET (PMOS) transistors in the input circuit, ensuring exceptionally high input impedance, minimal input current, and rapid performance.

Operating within a supply voltage range of 4V to 36V (single or dual supply), they are internally phase compensated for stable operation in unity gain follower mode. Additionally, they offer an access terminal for an external capacitor to enable additional frequency roll-off if required. Terminals are also available for input offset voltage nulling in specific applications.

The use of PMOS field-effect transistors in the input stage grants common-mode input voltage capability down to 0.5V below the negative supply terminal, making them suitable for single supply applications. The output stage incorporates bipolar transistors and includes built-in protection against damage from load terminal short-circuiting to either supply rail or ground.

Designed for operation at supply voltages of up to 36V (±18V), these operational amplifiers offer a versatile solution for various high-voltage applications.
